Regular panama braid
• Regular panama braid

They are panama weaves formed by the movement of the same number of warp and weft yarns together. Its smallest report is P 2/2. The warp and weft threads in the report area are equal. The sum of the numbers in the given report determines the report area. Accordingly, the smallest regular Panama weave consists of 4 warp and 4 weft yarns.

Here;

P: Represents the Panama weave.

1-The sum of the numbers above and below the knitting line gives the number of warp and weft threads that should be included in the report. 2+2 = 4 The report of this Panama weave consists of 4 warp and 4 weft threads.

2-the given pattern, that is, the knitting was 2 full and 2 empty. First, we make the square where the 1st warp thread and the 1st weft thread intersect, from bottom to top, 2 full and 2 empty.

3-Then we make the movement of the 1st weft thread from left to right, 2 full and 2 empty.

4-We make the movement of the SECOND weft thread from left to right, 2 full and 2 empty.

5-Then we make the opposite of the blanks as full as the blanks in the warp direction.

6- In the weft direction, we make the opposite of the blanks as full as the blanks.

7- Empty is made as full as empty, and full is as empty as full.

2-the given pattern, that is, the knitting was 3 full and 3 empty. First, we make the square where the 1st warp thread and the 1st weft thread intersect, from bottom to top, 3 full and 3 empty.

3-Then we make the movement of the 1st weft thread from left to right, 3 full and 3 empty.
