It is a plain or textured multi-strand continuous fiber yarn that has gained a knotty structure at certain intervals as a result of the mixing of the fibers forming the yarn at certain points with the centering process.
It is a process that reduces yarn cost in continuous plain polyester yarns or continuous textured yarns. With this process, twisting and sizing operations are eliminated.
In untwisted continuous flat yarns, the filaments always have a tendency to separate from each other. In this way, they are difficult to use in businesses. To eliminate this difficulty, the yarn is twisted. If the twist is not given, the yarn is subjected to the centering process at regular intervals. ( 100-130 knots / mt ) The yarn is in knots due to the centering process. Since the fibers will hold each other due to knuckles, it provides ease of working in the enterprise.
Center threads are generally used in warp threads. The purpose of this is to eliminate the sizing process. Since it is a cost-reducing factor, it expands its use. Thanks to the knots in the yarn, yarn slippage is also less in fabrics made from this type of yarn. The most important point to be considered here is the follow-up of the disturbing effects of the tailstock marks on the fabric. It is possible to detect this at the first stage of production.
Denier or dtex is used in the numbering system of filament yarns.
In the numbering system, the number of filaments in the cross section is also indicated. For example, it is understood that there are 200 filaments in the yarn section with 36 / 200, 36 denier number.
In yarn orders, it is necessary to specify the following points apart from the yarn number.
Number of fibers in the section or fiber fineness
Fiber cross-section shape (round, trilobe etc.)
Twisting condition (untwisted, twisted, centered)
Color (raw or colored)
Gloss (matt, semi-matt or glossy)
Voluminous (flat, textured or high volume)
Twist direction ( S or Z )
It cannot be affected by daylight, but if left in the light for a long time, it can be damaged, especially by ultraviolet light.
Terylene can be used to make all kinds of clothing. Because these fibers irritate the skin. It does not cause an allergic situation.
It is used alone or mixed with natural fibers such as wool, cotton and linen.
